A Note from the CEO
To Our Customers and Partners,
As a founder of Rigado, CTO, and now CEO, I’ve had the honor of working with an amazing team and the joy of sharing our IoT vision with high quality gateways, sophisticated edge software, and scalable cloud-based management tools. The market has matured and our strategy along with it. While there is still a place for IoT Gateways, we find ourselves talking more about IoT Networks – systems made up of gateways or Wi-Fi Access Points running Edge Connect and remotely orchestrated with Edge Direct to manage millions of devices.
We are excited to work with leading global enterprises who recognize they need to manage a flexible, Unified Network that scales and supports many different solutions. We are also happy to see the Bluetooth® SIG announce the Bluetooth 5.4 specification for Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs) to help address the growing need for standardization and unification in IoT. Rigado has enabled ESLs through Edge Connect on our gateways and via containers running on Wi-Fi Access Points.
What should you expect from Rigado over the next year? We will continue to expand the Cascade Gateway product line, Edge Connect software, and Edge Direct cloud-based management. We also plan to add features to simplify managing these large networks, especially congested 2.4GHz environments with many Bluetooth devices. On the edge sensor front, growth in the telematics market, specifically retail and pharmaceutical logistics, is driving customer demand for new battery-free asset tags and trailer monitoring devices, which we also support.

Looking Back on 2023
Rigado Unveils New Edge Direct Management Features
This Spring, we launched several new features for our Edge Direct platform. Each plays a role in bringing scaled IT-ready management capabilities to edge sensor networks. A Transformative Year for Retail
We've seen a big push in retail and grocery to incorporate IoT sensors, electronic shelf labels, and other low-power wireless devices in order to reduce shrink and improve operations. For Rigado, it was an exciting year as we unveiled a new set of retail-focused capabilities, and put them to the test in a telematics proof of concept for a leading global retailer.
The NRF Big Show is just around the corner in January, and we will be there with partners and customers to discuss what the future holds for retail technology. Rigado Ramps Up in Operations
It was a challenging few years recovering from the global supply chain shortage that has impacted every vendor in the IT hardware space. Though not without obstacles, 2023 was a much better year for shipping product on time to customers everywhere. We also introduced a few new models, including the Cascade-500-A and the Cascade-500-X.
2023 was our biggest year ever, with over 20,000 Cascade gateways shipped! We expect 2024 to be even bigger, again thanks to our customers and partners who continue to innovate and drive new opportunities at the edge.
