This article describes how to activate your E8 Asset Tracker.

Prerequisites:

• Make sure you have installed the Cascade-500W gateway and configured your IoT Central Application.

Activating the E8

The E8 contains a small plastic tab, visible from the end of the device. To activate the battery on the E8, simply pull the tab out and discard.

 

Once active, the E8 will automatically connect to the Cascade-500W and begin sending acceleration data. Now, you can setup a visual dashboard and create alerts with the E8.
